Hello Again! 💙😘
London. It’s such a place, that if someone in the room mentions it, all you can think of is ‘Luxury. London Eye. Big Ben. Best place EVER!’ But is it really?
Recently, as you all know, I have been to London because my cousin got married! Congratulations, Arsenal Lover! (That’s not her real name, but let’s just stick to that for now.) And I do go to London quite often to see my cousins and stay with them. When I’m there, I’m always blinded by how busy, bustling and BIG London is, no matter how many times I go. I always feel so welcome and happy, especially since my cousins have a big family community in our area. Literally, two other families that are related to my cousins live on the same street!!
But like I said before, I was so fascinated by London (who wouldn’t be??), that I never actually looked at Londoners’ lifestyle until now.
I mean, imagine living there, everyday going through the same appalling traffic (but I actually LIKE the traffic! Don’t ask me why 😂), the same work and hustle, then coming back home. Every person is different, and that’s exactly what makes you YOU! In our family, my cousins live a lavish lifestyle, (or so I thought, until I realised it was pretty much only on holidays that they had the most fun.) living in London, going out with friends and having fun, going to dessert places, all the things we do but more… Exciting.
Luckily for them, my cousins live in a big house and have a big family. But has anyone ever thought about the people who JUST about have enough money to scrape up a small apartment in London? Sometimes they have such bad living conditions that there isn’t even TIME for them to have fun and do whatever we get to do when we go to London. But why? Why do these people live like this? With run-down flats, in a small run-down area… Why? 🤔
Because of course, it’s the city of London! They do all of this only to have the thrill of living in London, thinking that everything will be as luxurious as it’s made out to be. But unfortunately, the houses there are so expensive that even if you are fairly wealthy, you will probably still end up in an apartment. 🏙
If you live in London, you’re either really lucky and have a nice house, wih the bonus of time for outings and other similar things. Or, you live in an apartment, with the bonus of your mother or/and father always working and basically no time to go out with friends. But it’s not that bad, if you think about it. You can be modestly happy in a small apartment too, you know, but you gotta think positive! (Remember my last post?)
Anyway, the point is, we are all different and we all lead very different lives, and we should always appreciate what we have. There’s just so many opportunities and choices to makes, and we still have such a big future ahead of us!! So, what do you all think? Would you rather live comfortably and stay where you are, or live in London and experience the thrill of the famous city? Is London a luxury or is it a layoff? Let me know what you think in the comments below! 🤗
